London, UK, 3rd November 2021 / Sciad NewswireLife Science Integrates (LSI) is delighted to announce the exciting agenda for its flagship event, Pharma Integrates, held live online on 16th November 2021.

In its 10th year running, Pharma Integrates 2021 promises to be the biggest yet, with 17+ panel discussions, a record number of speakers, and opening sessions from high-profile leaders in the field including Sir John Bell, Trevor Jones and Ben Osborn.

Since its inaugural year in 2011, Pharma Integrates has built its reputation as a unique forum for experts across the pharmaceutical pipeline to share crucial insights on the future of healthcare. It has become a must-attend event for leaders in pharma and healthcare.

Globally we’re at a significant moment for the pharmaceutical industry as we continue to fight against COVID-19 and begin to reflect on the rapid innovations seen in this sector during the pandemic. Having witnessed the importance of international and interdisciplinary collaboration in healthcare over the past years, it is integral that leaders across this sector continue to come together to exchange ideas. LSI hopes that the 10th Pharma Integrates conference will provide the platform for the formation of connections and concepts that will allow innovations in pharma to continue at pace.

The event will feature an exclusive interview with Professor Sir John Bell, conducted by Professor Trevor Jones. Sir John Bell holds the position of Regius Professor of Medicine at Oxford University and is Chairman of the Office for the Strategic Coordination of Health Research. John founded the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics, one of the world’s leading centres for complex trait common disease genetics, and was appointed one of two UK Life Sciences Champions by the Prime Minister in 2011 before receiving a GBE in the 2015 New Year Honours for services to medicine, medical research and the life science industry. With years of experience on advisory committees and governing boards, and expertise in immunology, John’s interview is not to be missed.

Professor Trevor Jones will also deliver welcoming and closing remarks, accompanying Ben Osborn’s opening talk. Trevor is Chairman of e-Therapeutics, Board Member of Respiratory Innovation Wales and Ascension Healthcare, and holds honorary degrees and Gold Medals from 6 universities as well as a SCRIP Life Time Achievement award. Ben is Managing Director of Pfizer UK and incoming President of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI). With a wealth of experience and numerous accolades in pharma and healthcare, LSI warmly welcomes Trevor and Ben’s valuable contribution to the event. "The revolution in our understanding of genetics combined with advances in digital technology and AI is transforming the way we discover, develop and use new medicines,” commented Trevor. "Post-Brexit, the UK is further strengthening its academic and industry Life Sciences research activity. These will be key topics for the conference, and it will be great to hear about them from Professor Sir John Bell who has been leading these UK initiatives."

The day will feature almost 20 panel discussions focused on the core themes of People, Process and Predictions:

  • How can we give people the right skills and support to provide the best possible patient outcomes?
  • How can we accelerate the development and delivery of medicines?
  • How can we best use the current focus on pharma to demystify future medicines and prevent future pandemics?

The panel discussions will see experts from leading pharmaceutical, healthcare, policy and academic institutions cover key areas including accelerated drug production timelines, advanced computing technologies, collaboration throughout production pipelines, and mental health in the workplace.

"Since the first conference 10 years ago, we’ve watched Pharma Integrates grow into a leading event in the field of pharma and healthcare," comments Samuel Thangiah, LSI Co-Founder and Executive Director. "We’re thrilled to be able to deliver such an extensive and high calibre line-up of speakers for our 2021 event, and especially look forward to the exclusive interview with Professor Sir John Bell."

We want to thank all our sponsors, speakers and everyone who will be attending, and we hope the day will stem exciting discussion, debate and future collaborations," adds LSI Co-Founder and Executive Director, Christopher Watt.
